Are you becoming increasingly confused about what what is true and what is false in the online world? 

Media Literacy is becoming more important with the rise of both misinformation and disinformation: this workshop will help to equip you to better identify false information.

The ABC in partnership with Australian Library and Information Association and Western Sydney University, present the Matter of Facts workshop. 

What to expect:

A guided presentation using selected ABC documentary content, presented by respected ABC journalist Hamish McDonald.

Practical tools to help identify false, misleading, or emotionally manipulative information.

Safe, balanced, and respectful group discussion.

Links to trusted resources to explore at home.

Join us to learn practical skills you can use every day to help distinguish fact from fiction.

Light refreshments provided.
