Week One: Ignite Your Writing workshop. Unlock your creativity and find your unique writing voice. Bust your writer’s block.
Bestselling author Sasha Wasley takes writers and aspiring authors through a tailored experience of engaging activities to inspire the creative process.
Finding inspiration • Banishing imposter syndrome • Finding your focus and getting unstuck • A writer's mindset
Week Two: Plot Masterclass. Build compelling, page-turning story structures, unpacks the shape of a plot, helping participants become experts in structuring a masterful narrative.
The difference between story, narrative and plot • Plot and genre • Plot mapping and pacing • Diagnosing problems with your narrative.
Week Three: Character Masterclass. Create vivid, believable characters that readers love.
This masterclass is designed to hone your character development skills. You'll discover archetypes and learn how to use traits and flaws to forge truly original characters. Understand your characters' arcs and how to connect these with your plot to make your story the best it can be.
Week Four: Pathways to Publication. Navigate the publishing landscape with confidence.
At this invaluable session for aspiring authors, Sasha will give honest, engaging, and warts-and-all insights into the different options open to you when it comes to getting your book into the world.
Sasha has done it all – traditional, small press, Big Five, indie (self) publishing, alternative contract models and more. Includes an open Q&A session.
