Like true crime? Lionel Faull is a freelance editor and award-winning investigative journalist. He has worked on landmark corruption and money-laundering exposés of the past decade, including the Panama Papers.
In a time of rapid change in information and media, understanding how power can be checked is increasingly important.
Lionel specialises in tracing cross-border money flows behind corruption and mass exploitation. He has more than a decade’s experience as an investigative journalist, previously working for Finance Uncovered in the UK, and the Centre for Investigative Journalism in South Africa.
His work on three continents has uncovered nuclear secrets, exposed white collar criminals and unseated a corrupt President and has worked in state government, as an analyst for criminal justice agencies.
Lionel will share what he has learned about how corruption works; discuss ongoing corruption risks in Australia and WA; and suggest ways that you can fight back.
