Creative Kids - Children's Book Week

Join us for a special Creative Kids session at Coolbellup Library this Children's Book Week® with author HM Waugh. Learn some of the basics of plotting and world-building from HM Waugh, author of middle-grade and young adult novels. How can brainstorming, science and history help your imagination thrive and your story worlds buzz?

Bookings preferred and open two weeks before the event. Drop-ins are welcome to attend on the day, but priority will be given to those who have booked in. BOOK HERE!

HM ‘Heather’ Waugh’s book, The Surface Trials, is a 2026 Younger Readers notable nominee and WAYRBA shortlisted. Plus, we will have book giveaways where you can take home your own copy of the story!

Creative Kids is time in the library for kids to get creative with LEGO, board games, craft, and Science.

First Wednesday of the month: Larger than life LEGO. Build and design in the company of other LEGO fans.

Second Wednesday: Killer Crafts for creative kids. Your imagination is the only limit!

Third Wednesday: Larger than life LEGO. Build and design in the company of other LEGO fans.

Fourth Wednesday: Brilliant board games. Come along and test your wits against the kids of Coolbellup.

STEAM Wednesday: If we have an extra Wednesday in the month join us for a STEAM spectacular!
