Join us for a special Creative Kids session at Coolbellup Library this Children's Book Week® with author HM Waugh. Learn some of the basics of plotting and world-building from HM Waugh, author of middle-grade and young adult novels. How can brainstorming, science and history help your imagination thrive and your story worlds buzz?

Bookings preferred and open two weeks before the event. Drop-ins are welcome to attend on the day, but priority will be given to those who have booked in, so get yourself a place below!

HM ‘Heather’ Waugh’s book, The Surface Trials, is a 2026 Younger Readers notable nominee and WAYRBA shortlisted. Plus, we will have book giveaways where you can take home your own copy of the story!

Children’s Book Week® is organised and made possible by the Children’s Book Council of Australia.
